The OZEV Grant can provide £350 towards the cost of your home charging point, assuming you are eligible of course. Furthermore if you live in Scotland there is also a further £250 available through the Energy Savings Trust cash-back scheme.

This means if you are producing energy you can potentially run your car for free, awesome!
3. Home EV charging points can be more convenient
Having to rely on public charging points isn’t ideal when you have a fully electric car. Even if you do know the whereabouts of public charging points, you can’t be sure someone else won’t topping up their battery when you arrive.

A car battery can be affected like any other battery in that charging it over and over without charging it to full can affect the efficiency of the car. Charging to near full is much better for the overall health of the battery.
